This is practical interactive program for the veterinary technician interested in learning more about veterinary dentistry and expanding the scope of the dentistry services in their practices. Subjects include important conditions you need to know, increasing dentistry compliance, what you can do to take dentistry to the next level in your practice, oral examination and charting,  intro to nerve blocks and pain management, intro to radiology, talking to owners about periodontal disease and an overview of veterinary dental products and equipment.

Advanced Oral Surgical Techniques

This is an intermediate to advanced lecture and wet lab developed for veterinarians whom would like to explore the inclusion of additional dental and oral surgical techniques into their practice. Lecture and lab topics include rostral and rim mandibulectomy, rostral maxillectomy, mandibular fracture repair using wire and acrylic, apically positioned flaps for incisor salvage, lateral sliding flap for gingival defects, palatal defect repair, canine bonding for mandibular stabilization, difficult extractions, root tip retrieval.  Endodontics and restoratives will be covered in a brief introductory lecture.

   15 hours of accredited continuing education.
